Jesus Christ took the form of a man to do away with sin and bring God's original plan to conclusion. Phil 2:6-7 "Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness and being found in appearance as a man, he humbles himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross". He became the Son of Man that men might become the sons of God. He became part of our family, so that in redeeming us we might become part of his godly family. He took our nature in order that we might have His nature. He came to redeem man and was made in the likeness of man. As a man he lived, as a man He died, as a man He is our mediator (I Timothy 2:5) "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus". Through his death and resurrection, Christ "disarmed the powers and authority of darkness and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross" (
I know that "my Redeemer lives". On that day we with all creation will shout that the victory is his and his alone. He guaranteed life to us – an eternal life in heaven, and a life of peace and comfort here now that we know that he has secured our place in heaven for us.
I know that "my Redeemer lives"! Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!" "I know that my redeemer liveth" Job had a clear view of the self-existence of the Lord Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The same as we look back now and say, "I know that he did live and he still lives today", I know that he is the source and giver of life; He is "the Resurrection and the Life".
When God finally revealed himself to Job and enumerated His wonder to Job, Job said, "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth thee." (Job 42:5) This is the statement that each one of us should make coming face to face with our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Scripture to read : 1 John 1:1 "That which was from the beginning which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes which we have looked at and our hands have touches this we proclaim concerning the Word of Life."
Prayer: Dear God, thank you that you came for our rescue. Please help us to live for you and teach us to reply on your guidance and leadership rather than on our choice of good and evil. Lord, I ask for your lordship over my life. Thank you, Amen.
