From Death to Life

Daily Word

Prepared By:  Suzy Naber

In my "Daily Word"  "How can I be saved?"  (Part 2), Serial No. 7, I wrote about the new birth being an end of the old earthly nature and a beginning of a new spiritual nature.  It is the transfer from Death to Life; the Death of the old sinful nature and the life birth of a new spiritual sinless nature; a nature that is God-conscious and that comprehends the things of God. This nature could only be provided by Jesus Christ himself whose ministry is one of freedom for the captives, sight to the blind and healing to the crippled.  Jesus offers healing for the cripple, the internal cripple as much as the external cripple. He offers healing to the blinded heart as well as to the blinded eye.

Recently I had the privilege of visiting South Africa. I have seen so many animals in cages forever chained. In a split of a moment I felt sad realizing that some human beings are also chained forever. As the result of the fall of human race, the human glory has been chained and we have been all taken captive. Unfortunately, many ignore the fact that Jesus came to set them free. They think it is natural and they have become so accustomed to the chains that they don't realize they are imprisoned.  They ignore that this captive human nature has been paid for and a new spiritual nature is possible through the price paid by Jesus on the cross. He is our Good Shepherd.  He is our Great Physician, who came to heal the sick and wounded.  He provides us with the only water that unceasingly quenches our thirst.  He saves us from our sin.  He delivers us from the pit.  He breaks the chains that hold us captive, cleans us up, binds our wounds and sets us free.  He fills us with His Spirit and pours out His life through us.  He is our fortress and sanctuary. When we run to Him we are safe.  As we turn to Him each day, we find that He is there right alongside us.

All we have to do is to ask Jesus to remove the blindness that may hinder us from seeing the chains in our life. Thank Him for everything He has done to provide the freedom and healing we need.  Rejoice in His goodness.

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, please break the chains of the old nature and give us freedom of the new nature to live for you. Please give us sight to the blindness in us. Break the chains of captivity and set us free. Fill us with Your Spirit and unchain your glory in us, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Hi Auntie, I just need to thank you for adding a prayer in each of your "daily word".

Please correct me if I am wrong:
I need to say that I am so sure that God is so pleased by our talking to him, it is a daily practice, it is part of our lives, It isn't important that we bow our heads and close our eyes, although we may want to do that to focus our attention on God, but I think I can thank God in a variety of ways.

Thanks,
Reem Batarseh

Hi Reem Habibti,
I miss you so much and am proud of your comments! I am sure that your comments are blessings to those who read them. Thanks and I would appreciate more for my and other readers' sake. Of course, God is pleased by our talking to him; this is the meaning of prayers. Prayers are conversation with God no matter how, where and when you do it! I will write later about "Prayers".
You see, You always inspire me with new topics. I will prepare something on "repentance" as well which should be an essential start toward a close relationship with Christ. I will then choose subjects like how to walk with Christ daily, as you suggested earlier. Thanks again.
If you have more suggestions, would love to receive them. Love Suzy

I will see you soon.
