Part seven: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power,
And the glory forever, Amen.
Jesus taught us to start the prayer with worship and to end it with worship; "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, Amen". This last part, part seven which is the perfect number, is the triumph of worship; "Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus." (2 Corinthians 2:14
"Thine is the Kingdom"
Is an affirmation of faith that says, "Lord, whatever comes, You are on the throne and you are still in charge!"
"AND THE POWER"
Is an affirmation that He alone"has all power (omnipotent) and all knowledge (omniscient) and is everywhere" (omnipresent). He is "the invisible, unchanging God", "the Sovereign One who created all things of heaven and earth", "the only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords" who"sustains all things and rules over all things" to whom"every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God"
This Great God holds control of your life, no-matter what men try to do! He has all power to lift you up, and give you strength, and ability to overcome all difficulties, indeed, He alone has the power TO ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS.
"AND THE GLORY FOR EVER AND EVER"
Is an acknowledgment that THINE AND THINE ALONE BELONGS THE GLORY because He is "The Eternal Present One", the "Self-existent One, "the First and the Last", "The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending"," the Almighty", the one "who lives forever and ever " the one who"reigns from everlasting to everlasting" "He alone has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto".(I Tim 6:16)
"AMEN"
a declaration of faith, an affirmation "So shall it be", a stamp or a signature of assurance of our love and devotion to our Great and Merciful God.
In Conclusion, always keep in mind that we are praying to the One who can provide all the things we need, but we have to follow the pattern of the Lord's Prayers who is our way to victory. We have to worship God with all our might and strength and to submit all to Him. We have to put God's name, God's kingdom, and God's will first in prayer and in living. Praying is not to recite parrot fashion without thinking about the real meaning in all we say to God! We have to shift our priorities and put God first in our lives.
Prayer should always be a very positive thing and we have to expect an answer and seek and knock, as the Bible says, "Ask, and ye shall receive, Seek, and ye shall find, knock and the door will be opened unto you."
If the PRAYER is TRULY IN FAITH, and we are LIVING RIGHTEOUS HOLY LIVES, then GOD WILL ANSWER, IF WE ARE PERSISTENT. Perhaps the answer will not come in our time - but rather in God’s time. Amen.
