The Power of the Word - Part 5

Jesus said in John 15:7 "If ye abide in me, and MY WORDS abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you"; for as David said in Psalm 33:4 "the word of the Lord is right' and all his works are done in truth".

David understood the importance of the word of God and said in Psalm 119:11 "Thy Word have I hid in my heart". He has planted the Word of God in his heart. So must you, the Word of God must be planted in your heart! The Word of God is the seed, so if the seed abides in you, "you can ask what ye will and it shall be done."

Before giving you more Scriptures to plant in your heart, let me just mention Abraham. Abraham's faith was based on the promise of God. God had promised to make him father of many nations! He was 100 years old, too old to have children; but Romans 4:19-20 says "being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform." So let your faith be based on the Word of God.

More Scriptures that promise you things you ought to pray for;  scriptures that cover your case: [I have been asked for special demands],

If you need success please memorize

3 John 1:2: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth".

Psalm 1:1-3 " Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, But his delight is in the Law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water; that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not with; andwhatsoever he doeth shall prosper".

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Success is attending to God's Word and putting it first place in your life. When you attend to God's word, your will be able to deal wisely with the affairs of life. Both are combined, you cannot separate them. Don't be deceived by what you see; train yourself to get your eyes on the way God looks at things.  Don't measure success by what you have or don't have or how big or great things appear to be! We are shortsighted, trust God's way, and trust the Almighty 'Creator and Mastermind of the Universe'!

Example: We look sometimes at churches and are deceived by the large numbers in attendance. It doesn't really matter how big the church is because the church is not in a building but it is in your heart! The most important thing is to know that you are where God told you to be, doing what He told you to do, and then you are a success!!

Do you lack patience, how can I grow in patience?

Psalm 40:1; "Iwaited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry". You must wait patiently in prayer for God to do his work in you. Waiting on the Lord will teach you patience; knowing that

Habakkuk 2:3 "if it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed."

Patience is one of the evidences of love; 1 Corinthians 13:4 "…Love is patient and kind."

Patience is also a by-product of the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in our heart and is produced by a believer's hope in God's eternal glory.

Romans 8:25 "If we look forward to something we don’t' have yet; we must wait patiently and confidently".

Galatians 5:22 When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us, "love, joy, peace, patience".

Finally, read Lamentations 3:25 "The LORD is wonderfully good to those who wait for him and seek him".  Amen.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word which is the seed in my heart. I thank you that if your word abides in me, I will be prosperous and successful. I thank you that if your word abides in me I "shall ask what anything and it shall be done unto me" Amen.
